Year 5 Puberty Comments

During the Autumn Term Year 5 learn about puberty. Here are a few of the girls comments.

'I liked learning about puberty but I find it a bit scary as I thought I would stay the same forever. Now I realise why my Mum would say to me, "girls need iron so eat all your greens and meat". She would never tell me why but now I know'.

'I liked puberty because if I didn't learn it I would be scared not knowing what was happening to me. I also don't think my Mum or Dad would be comfortable teaching it to me'.

'I didn't understand why we had to excercise more but now having learnt about puberty, I do understand'.

' I found it very interesting and helpful since my parents don't like talking about it'.

'I enjoyed learning about puberty as it doesn't make you worry so much'.

'I didn't like puberty when we started this topic but I like it now. I think that this is the best time to learn it because some people in this class are actually starting it this second. I learnt hundreds of things. '

'Thanks so much for teaching us this topic now my Mum doesn't have to teach it to me!'
